Goodman: Marquette is in

FoxSports.com's Jeff Goodman filed a late-night Bubble Watch and right at the top of his "Buy" list is Marquette.

And forget that bubble, Goodman has Marquette penciled inked in.

He writes: "The Golden Eagles punched their ticket with the home win against Louisville and are now playing with house money in the regular-season finale. This is a team that has overachieved as much as any in the country."

Overachieved is a relative term, there is a soft bubble after all.  What we're doing is no different than leading teams with Travis Diener and Steve Novak on them to the NIT.

The Teal Train has left the station and Lens is day drinking in the bar car.    ---- Dr. Blackheart

Or a team with Anthony Pieper, Faisal Abraham, Roney Eford, Amal McCaskill, Aaron Hutchins, etc, to the NIT   ;)

Overachieve is a relative term.

You can fight Jamie, but you're gonna lose.  This MFer knows what he's doing.

The ultra-optimists thought prior to the season MU could do this well.......primarily by what the amigos did as freshman.....perhaps the "new" amigos could do the same......but it hasn't been the heralded freshman class......Acker and Cubillan are going to get a helluva send off Saturday.....they really showed what they're made of in their final season.

It's not about ME,
It's about US.

Huh?   I thought you were saying something about another coach not being able to go to the NCAAs despite having great talent.   I'm just pointing out that there are a ton of teams that have only made the NIT instead of the NCAA with some great talent on them.  It happens.

Some Hall of Fame coach named Jim Calhoun this year might be one.  Some Hall of Fame coach named Roy Williams has at least 3 guys on his team right now that will be in the NBA.  Do they not know what they are doing?

Why on earth did you bring TC into this thread?  He's (Buzz) doing a great job so far.

Marquette84 called it before the season even started.  He overachieved with his prediction.

84 didn't exactly "predict" it. He drew an analogy to the 2005 team and basically tried to "set up" Buzz with high expectations which were based on this year's freshman equalling the three amigos. We got basically nothing from the frosh yet here we are anyway. A truly amazing accomplishment for the players and coaches.
