I think we all knew this stretch would come.  This stretch I speak of is the one where we play poorly.  I am always happy when we get that win with poor play because I know we can turn it around and play well.  Its like a warm week in winter.

Something else I am happy about is that even thought I know we will not be DEEP come tourney time, JC and Fulce being productive is SO important to this team's success in the post season.  It was nice to see Fulce play well.  I saw him play pretty well on defense.  I think he might have turned corner.  And JC played well last night.  He has a long way to go but looked alot more comfortable.

I just want to point out that some credit has to go to St. John's for our crappy shooting last night - they have a good defense and our ability to make the extra pass for a better shot suffered as a result.  We missed a couple of open looks, but not many.

I, for one, am just going to friggin enjoy this streak we're on (Pitt notwithstanding)and just be happy that we're WINNING. I don't care if the play was ugly - the guys got the job done. I don't care if Buzz should have called this play or that play - he got the job done. I don't care if Fulce isn't strong enough - he got the job done. I don't care if Butler has a chance at the NBA (at least, I don't care right now) - he's getting his work done in his college career.

I realize speculation is fun and is the point of these boards but I for one am just going to at least enjoy the first 24 hours after a really exciting game and not rag on the guys for this thing, that thing, blah blah blah. It was W. Hooray!

ErikJD08, this is not directed squarely at you. I was going to start a thread about just enjoying the positives without also having the find the negatives but this seemed an appropriate place to make these remarks since this thread has the typical tone of "well that was nice but..." I realize there are negatives. But why focus on those?? We're EFFING WINNING! ENJOY IT!

The offense does seem to be grinding some the last couple weeks. Hopefully the smooth ball movement and open looks will return, but in the meantime as long as we keep getting W's it's all good. I think we are due for a lights out shooting game soon. Sure would be sweet against L'Ville or ND at home, though I won't complain if it comes against SH.

Agree, enjoy the W. DJO had a very off night shooting, and we still won. Plus with foul trouble the fact that we hung around and then made a run when Hayward returned was good.

Agreed - we survived a poor shooting night on the road and earned a victory.  I'll savor this.   :)
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.
