Anyone going to St John's game?
« on: February 21, 2010, 06:40:54 PM »
I'll be on east coast this week, and may make the road trip out to Carnesecca Arena.  Should be a good time... I'm sure it'll be a riled up environment in that small arena.  Anyone have any feedback or tips about heading there (parking, traffic, etc)?  I'm coming in from PA and assume traffic will be god awful since it looks like it's pretty much in NYC.  I'm sure tickets will be plentiful... wonder if MU has used their allotment though.

Anyone else attending?

thanks

i will not be attending the game but i am very nervous for the game. St johns has been playing great lately knocking off plenty of bubble teams. We cannot take them lightly because we desperately need to get a W here to continue feeling good about our tourney chances.

Traffic will be brutal.  Its in Jamaica, Queens, so you have to go through Staten Island and then over the Verrazano Bridge to Brooklyn to get there. Google map it.

Also in PA, will be going with two others, only one going to the game.  The other makes regular trips into NY by using the Trenton park & ride, so we're going that route for this one.

I wish.

After the game, hit up the local eats in the city that never sleeps: Katz's, Juniors, Koronets, and finally try Crif's.

We'll try to be better with some pics - both of us completely forgot to carry cameras today.

Always fun to meet more people in person on these trips.  BTW - they didn't kick us out of the brunch - hah.
