The point im getting at is that if uconn only needs 4 more wins then i feel mu needs 4 more wins. He also said they could come in the big east tournament. So i think if we go 4-1 over the next 5 regular season and get 1 more in the bet we shouldnt be sweating come selection sunday.

4-1 with one BET win will get us in, no doubt.  UConn can go 10-8 in conference or possibly 9-9 with 1-2 BET wins because of a tough SOS and solid RPI as a result.

We beat them at Uconn, so if they need four we need three.

Committee may take into account Calhoun's absence....haven't they done that in the past?

They sure look like a tournament team.

They also have some signature wins that could bump them ahead of us. They beat Texas and Villanova. Although, was their loss to Michigan with or without Calhoun? If we end up tied with them or they are 1 game behind us, I would worry that they would get a bid ahead of us because of those wins. Although I think it is a little cheap that they could discount a decent portion of the conference season without their coach. It's not the first time Calhoun has been out and Blaney has been around there for a long time. Hopefully we get to 11-7 and this doesn't matter a ton.

UCONN has a win over Texas, Villanova on the road, didn't lose to DePaul and has a 3 point loss to Kentucky.

I realize we beat them, but the committee doesn't look at head to head stuff, they look at the total body of work.  With the rest of their schedule (WVU and Louisville at UCONN) and ND & USF on the road, they could win those 4.

That Texas win is meaning less and less by the day, though.  UT has to go @Baylor and @A&M still, which won't be easy.

So what, close loss to Kentucky.  Then give us close losses @WVU, Nova, Cuse, etc. etc.

Also, when listing quality wins, why ins't anyone bringing up MU's win over Xavier?
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Using the KenPom scale, Xavier's the best win of the season.

Actually a former committee member stated that they do look at head to head especially when ranking intra-conference potential bids.
