Recap: Pittsburgh

Player of the game: It was a typical team effort for the Pittsburgh Panthers on Thursday night, with Jermaine Dixon, Gary McGhee, Nasir Robinson and Brad Wanamaker all finishing with 10 points.

The game was won in the paint, though, where the Panthers shot 68%, and the nod has to go to coach Jamie Dixon for recognizing one of MU's biggest weaknesses and going right at it.

All told, Pittsburgh scored 34 points in the paint, but it was a crucial stretch that began early in the second half that sealed the deal for the Panthers. With the Golden Eagles having just taken a 32-31 lead with 17:41 remaining, Pittsburgh went on to score 14 of its next 16 points in the lane.
