On a Side note: How has Maurice Aker looked in practice?
« on: February 14, 2007, 10:20:23 PM »
I have not heard or seen one thing about him this season.  I was pretty pumped when he transferred.  Any news that can be shared?  I haven't paid close attention, but I don't think I have ever seen him on the bench either.

he was on the bench earlier in the season i know...he shaved his corn rows so it's a little harder to pick him out. Last thing i've really heard is that he's helping give the team a quality PG to practice against and his shot is coming around.

I hope so, because his shooting last year was worse than James' this year.  He's a good defender and a decent passer, but shooting is just not something he should be doing a whole lot of unless he's improved dramatically.

he really shouldn't have to shoot much next year...McNeal, Matthews, Fitz, Cube, Hayward, and Ooze

You forgot James in that group. There is no way in hell he goes in the first round as of now. I see him back next year.

uummmhhhh... have you seen those guys shoot this year?  We need a lights out shooter to get some respect and keep teams out of the zone.  I don't see how lil' mo is gonna help that next year.

Actually, TC stated atleast twice on his TV programs that Acker is probably the best 3 point shooter on the team right now.  On the last show, Rab had Cuby and Lil Reece demonstrating 3's.  Acker's form and success looked good in that segment.

Yes there is 0% chance that he puts together 3 good games in a row in march and some gm says "I like that kid's potential, he has moxie." and takes him at 30th overall.  Are you serious? don't you see the kind of players who get drafted on a regular basis at the end of the 1st.  You could list out reasons why evvery one of them shouldn't be going to the NBA.

I omit james cuz if he is here, which is pretty likely, it's pretty unlikely he and Acker would be on the court at the same time. And James doesn't play off the ball as well as he does on so i doubt he'd be playing much 2 guard w/ Reese running the pt.
