We are talking about DWade in this post, not other professional athletes. I just think state income taxes are a non-factor for him and where he signs. No matter where he signs, he can still keep his Florida residency and shelter some of his income from state taxes.


Right....we all know that the Jesuit values he received at MU means that he is beyond worrying about a measly $600K.  Unless of course it is being delivered to him by beautiful, naked women.

Yes.

See Antoine Walker, and the roughly 70% of professional athletes who go bankrupt after they retire.  $600K extrapolated over say 5 years, + lost interest on that money at a conservative rate of 5%, that 600K is now is about $4.1 million.

That's silly.  The reason he is broke is because he doesn't think about saving money in those terms.  He would just have gone broke a year later.
