I'd say he's a hitman: get boards, pick up fouls that Lazar or Jimmy would have gotten, get some put backs, "intimidate" in the post (LOL!).

He's the designated "speller" for Zar and Jimmy.
SS Marquette

dwaderoy2004

i think neither.  He was in early, and got destroyed on the defensive end.  so buzz pulled him.  he put him back in late in the game and on the very next possession fulce gave up an alley oop backdoor slam to his man.  it was too close of a game to have him in there.

AZWarrior

Was the alley-oop slam really a bad defensive play on Fulce's part?  I went and looked at it, Prov exsecuted a nice screen to free their guy up.

How should Fulce have played it?
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

dwaderoy2004

i hear you, but fulce needs to be aware of that.  they tried to run that play a few times that game, but that was the only time it was succesful.

And has not "earned" any......

Let me know the next time he hits the "Rim" with a shot.....

I know that is harsh.....But he needs a month just to get the "rust" off.....(he is atleast 10 to 20 overweight)

And certainly not at the expense of the rest of team.....

They have worked to hard.....

ATWizJr

dwaderoy has it right....defensive lapses cost him PT against PC.  Peterson was just too much beef for him to handle.

Yeah--the rest of the team has worked so hard--you are implying that cadougan has not. I would submit that he has worked as hard, or harder to rehab himself to come back this year. Surely Cuby or Acker can spare a few of their 70 minutes a game to give cadougan some time. After all, he will be here 3 more years so we should be developing  him with game action.

Junior is not ready yet. It could not be more obvious. This team has little margin for error, as Buzz has said numerous times. Go with the guys that have got you this far. Junior gets of the bench is a blowout, that is about it.

wow, sure alot of coaches on this site.  Since the coach is paid to win games, I imagine that he does what gives his team the best chance to win.  I think it is as simple as that.  So, while it might be nice for the fans to see all of the players get meaningful playing time, there is a pretty good reason why they are not paid to coach this team.

Amen.

We're playing well with almost no depth.  Buzz knows what he's doing.

Which is why he should still be red-shirted.

Why don't you wait until the 2013-2014 season for the "I told you so".  Until then shhh.

Gonna make a wild and wacky claim and say that Fulce didn't play that much because we went for the best matchups.   By going small, there were matchup nightmares for PC.  Most of the 2nd half, we had some combo of Mo/Cubes/DJO/Buycks with Butler and Hayward, and we were playing WAY more effectively at both ends of the floor.  You may remember the many wide open 3s we got and canned most of the second half.

thatman32

What skills on offense does Fulce bring to the table?  He can't back his man down since he doesn't appear to have enough muscle and very little post up game.  He really never tries to beat his man off the dribble and he is not a great jump shooter.(though he doesn't take a lot of shots so that argument might not hold up)

In addition, you would think that he would have added enough muscle like some of the other guys after a few off seasons of heavy lifting.  So he comes across as someone that cannot/won't take contact in the paint.  I know he had some bad injuries but I would have thought that we would have seen more at this point in time?(yes that is question mark since I am confused)

So what did people expect from Fulce when he first came onto campus?  And what is he doing right?
