MU 82, Providence 79

Providence, R.I. -- Another nailbiter in the Big East for the Marquette Golden Eagles. What's new?

For the second consecutive Saturday, they were able to come up with enough big plays late to escape with a much-needed road victory.

Thanks to a pair of free throws by Lazar Hayward with 13.2 seconds remaining and some solid defense by he and Maurice Acker on the potential game-tying three with time winding down, MU beat Providence, 82-79, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center to win its fourth straight game.
