Sitting at 13-8 and 4-5 in the conference, it might seem strange to say that Marquette will definitely be in the NCAA tournament.

But The Sporting News' Mike DeCourcy is going all Joe Namath on us, guaranteeing that the Golden Eagles will make the field of 65.

One thing DeCourcy points to is Marquette's remaining schedule before the Big East tournament - more home games than road (5 to 4) and just three games against teams with a winning record in the conference (Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Louisville), and two of those are at the Bradley Center. (Of course, future opponents Notre Dame, Providence and South Florida are all currently at 4-5, just like Marquette).

Never trust DeCourcy, he's good friends with that other guy.

Whammy!

Warrior

We need to crush DePaul or all bets are off on NCCA Tourny possibilities for the Warriors. Lets Go Warriors!!!

One thing I missed from the past three years compared to this year was the lack of any press from the national media.  It was like "Marquette who?"  As much as I enjoy reading post and topics originating from our resident posters, it's great the national media is giving Marquette some attention again.

Yep, DeCourcy's always in bed with Crean. Although maybe he doesn't realize Tommy isn't at MU any more.

About the only game left that could be considered a gimme would be Depaul, and we know what happened the last time with them.

The Team needs to play focussed and there is a chance to make the dance. Six--seven wins should get us in. Must beat Pitt.

Let's not count the chickens before the eggs are sat on.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I think the close losses really helped MU with this.  Obviously, wins would have been the best result, but the way Marquette lost those games got a lot of attention.  In my opinion, that attention has snowballed into more coverage.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.
