Josey Wales

There is a little chatter of him possibly returning. Has anyone else heard this?
BEARS STILL SUCK

Hey Vikings, I like what you've done with the basement.

"Lazar Hayward. The L stands for leader, and the W stands for winner, Lazar Hayward is a winner."

TallTitan34

At the other board they are saying the same thing, however, their source is a guy on the Badger boards.

Warrior1969

That source is report ably Keaton Nankivils father, so probably not just someone talking stupid?

Doctor V

If the guy is healthy enough to play, I would imagine Buzz would welcome him with open arms. This would also take care of the last scholarship- using it on a big from inside the program.

Why is he a source?  Sounds like a joke to me..

Warrior1969

Just saying that is who the guy was on the badger board that said it.

Markusquette

Would be interesting, what was his post?

New Era Warriors

Ya, what exactly was his post? If it is true that would be great. Liam would really help this team and it would be great to see him back on the court..

ChicosBailBonds

For this one, I hope the doctors are really really really sure.  It would be terrific to have him back.

4everwarriors

Is he still enrolled at MU?
"Give 'Em Hell, Al"

MU111

Yeah, he's still taking classes, as far as I know.

HoopsMalone

I'd take the 3 headed monster of Otule, McMorrow, and Mbao inside, with Fulce as some extra muscle for a few hustle plays.  Hopefully Liam considers his health first and foremost though.

77ncaachamps

Maybe we can sneak him into Gonzaga, steal Robert Sacre (see pic), and they'll NEVER know the difference! ;)

SS Marquette

The Lens

I've heard it too.  Interestingly it would give us 3 sophomore centers, so if true perhaps you can redshirt Mbao.  The upside is we have 3 guys over 6'10"...the down side is those 3 guys have combined for 3 season-ending injuries, one extended-period-of-time injury and one your-career-is-over injury.

I sure miss the days when we all complained that KO wouldn't play Damon, Mac & RC together.
The Teal Train has left the station and Lens is day drinking in the bar car.    ---- Dr. Blackheart

Warrior1969

It is on the badger board under a thread that they are ripping the Newbill commit mostly.  I think his handle is Whitethounder...he was kinda defending the success of our small lineups over the last few years and then added at the end...he has heard from creditable sources that Liam may be returning and that would be a great break for MU..

Shower after reading...Fran's dad still rolling in his grave

"A Big East university that gets an invitation from the Big Ten must feel like it's died and gone to heaven."

Absolutely....going from the best conference in the land to the 5th, why wouldn't they love that.  Pitt will have field day with the Northern Big 12

Warrior1969

Dammit Mark Miller said not true.

Golden Avalanche

Huh. So Nankivil's father knows enough about McMorrow to float that he may be back but no one in the Warrior family had broached it prior to tonight. Sounds legit.

Btw, have we ever had a player come back from a "career-ending" health discovery?

CAINMUTINY

I hope this isn't smoke being blown up our collective arses.

I like how the posters on the Badger board are taking the newest commitment as a sign that  Buzz is recruiting over VB; Do they realize VB is a McD's All-American (well, hopefully) and that while DJ might be a good player they are miles from comparison.

tower912

This has been hinted at before.   Don't hold your breath.

Per Mark Miller...it isnt true.

And Vander will not likely be a McDonalds AA. There are alot of good guards this year and Vander is likely to be on the outside looking in.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if he plays in the Jordan Brand Classic...based not only on his ability, but the fact that he signed with a Jordan Brand school...Gotta love the influence of shoe companies!

All this thread did was get my hopes way up. Seriously. Congratulations on subsequently crushing them into the floor. Not cool.

Him coming back would be have huge ramifications upon my expectations for the next few years. Alas, it will never happen.

+1000.....all this thread is doing is bringing me down again to remembering how excited I was about having a 7-foot former Hockey and Lacrosse player on the team.  Eventually MU will get some breaks with some big men.....eventually.

With a guy that tall, you'd have to assume the medical issue is heart related and I can't think of anything worse than having the same thing that happened to Gaines Adams and the Southern Indiana basketball player that died already just this year.
