Game 21: UConn
Hartford, Conn. -- Reports are that Jim Calhoun won't be making a triumphant return to the court this morning when the Marquette Golden Eagles take on the Connecticut Huskies.
In his place once again will be George Blaney, a veteran of the Big East wars himself as Calhoun's longtime assistant and before that head coach at Seton Hall. Calhoun has been out for the past few games due to an undisclosed medical condition, leaving MU to face its second interim coach in the last 10 days.
I'm assuming everyone remembers what happened the first time around, at DePaul. So does MU coach Buzz Williams, who, of course, expects this game to be a much tougher battle considering the oodles of size and talent that the No. 19 Huskies (13-7, 3-4) can throw at the Golden Eagles.
