From a Depaul fan.  Please, tell DJ to shoot more.  WE need a win to stay in the race to make it to the Big East tournament.  That guy has been on fire lately. 2-17 from the floor on Saturday....Just outstanding.  If he shoots 15 to 20 shots against us, we will win by 20, just like what the Hoyas did against you guys.  Complete domination.  Please, please, please, James shoot a lot.  Thank you in advance.  Go, Blue Demons.

See, this is an example of quality flamming.  Big some humor with it.

We get so little s&*t talk on this board from opposing fans. It is downright comical that the worst offender would be a DePaul fan.

Haven't we been down this road with James before? Why do I get the feeling he will put up something along the lines of 17 pts., 8 assists, 6 rebs. on Wednesday?

Yeah, I think we should give him a few more post opportunities due to the humor factor.  That and he said "Thank you"  :P

Gee, that would mean DePaul is equivalent to the Hoyas.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

In reality, I think we learned where DePaul is relative to Georgetown back on January 24th.

DJ will get 17 pts. if he puts up 35 shots.
At least it'd be more points then Depaul's whole team would score with the same number of shots

we need opposition on this board, brought cheer on a day of exams (first of the semester)...  I still remember going to DePaul last year (their arena looks like a giant White Castle) and a MU fan in a giant Panda suit got on the big screen while in the DePaul student section, only to have him whip out his gold.  Also remember the 3 DePaul fans in the Marquette section group, who were more concerned with Illinois that game than the game they were watching.  Also remember Novak and James lighting up DePaul, and us chanting "He's a Freshman"... think we could chant "He's a Sophmore" and get away with it?  We can do that with half our team :)

I remember that Novak game pretty well.  Steve had not been shooting so well in conference games and then went off for something like 3 3's in 4 possessions and 5 for the game.  Something to that effect.  (EDIT: I just found the old box score and Novak was 5-6 from 3 in that game.  And anyone who wants to remember a great season go here: http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=66632 )

It's hard not to feel a little sorry for DePaul. They have a pathetic fanbase, play in a terrible off-campus arena, consistently underachieve and have perhaps the worst looking uniforms in the Big East. In other words, they just completely suck. I'm glad Notre Dame is at least mediocre, so we can have one midwestern Catholic school as a respectable rival.

THere were a few chants.  I can distinctly remember a left, right, chant after a depaul player got booted.
