Louisville is projected by Yahoo to make the tourney, and we are not. With our remaining Big East Schedule we have 5 or 6 depending on what you consider Cincinatti difficult games. Seton Hall also is left out of the Yahoo NCAA tourney. I think we have a chance with Depaul being our only awful loss so far and with 2 wins against the AP in contrast to Louisville's O-3 against the AP top 25. All these people quitting on the team already and saying we are NIT bound shouldn't give up so soon.

MU B2002

I hope you are right, but Marquette needs to prove they can win somewhere other than Milwaukee and Orlando before having any tourney aspirations.

We better beat Louisville then.

We are 12th in the RPI right now in our own league.  We need to get going quickly if this is going to happen.  Many teams to jump over and I see many potential losses up ahead.  St. John's will be tough.  At Seton Hall will be tough.  At Providence will be no gimmee.  At Cincinnati will be tough.  Notre Dame at home.

This team has a long long way to go to get to the NCAAs.  Yes, there is a chance, but things have to break very well for MU.

I know we lost to Syracuse this week, but their homecourt is one of the toughest in the country and we lost by 5 points. If we can do that against Syracuse I think some of these upcoming games may surprise many MU fans. We play to our competition as made evident in the Depaul game and all of our amazing and disappointing close calls against the top teams in our league and country. If we continue to do this and don't continue with the late game disappointments we are very much alive

That's the problem.  "Only", "almost", and "competed with" a 12th place finish make.

11 games left and you think only 5-6 are difficult? What land do you live in? We are tied for 12th and lost to Depaul. Every game is going to be difficult. You sound like the guy who was talking about us having trap games. When you are at the bottom of the conference you can't expect any game to be easy.

Golden Avalanche

It's amazing what perception and media love can bring you. Ville is constantly decked for being a weak mental team this season with no real standout talents. They've backed it up by failing in all their big tests and suffered two embarrassing non-conference losses at home. To top it off, they haven't beaten anyone slated above them in the Big East.

Yet, they continue to make a presence in these "expert" bracket predictions. It's nice to be Dicky P.

Bottom line, the NCAA is a real longshot. Far to many things have to break our way. And quite honestly, little has gone MU's way this season.

Don't forget "a sea of orange".
What are they supposed to be wearing Blue and Gold

Marquette's student section doesn't even touch Syracuse's student section. I think we want to but the Bradley Center doesn't let us get too close

Crean envisioned a sea of gold. That's why he named us Marquette Gold........for a week.

Buzz would agree.  I was at the Annex for the MU Basketball hour tonight and during a commercial break Buzz is standing with Mo and DJO watching the GU v. Syracuse game and says, "that's the best college basketball venue in the country."

He then says something along the lines of West Virginia being a close second.  He wasn't knocking MU, just acknowledging how tough the Dome can be.

BTW, I'm surprised at how low the turnout was for this event.  It's a great opportunity to meet the team.
