Everyone was a lot better than the Packers in the 80s

I was in a coma during the 80's

Finally, the Vikings, to me, are such a half @ss organization.  Right down to having to essentially steal the Packers signature QB to be win big, if Favre retires, where does this leave them?  They never, ever go above and beyond.  Always looking for short cuts.  Hershel Walker is another prime example.  My favorite anedote from this past week was Chris Kluwe going to the Metrodome to practice b/c the Viking facilities do not allow for full punting.  Upon getting there Kluwe was met by dirt everywhere for a Monster Truck show.  Strong organizations pour money into facilities.

Yeah, I agree, but I think that things might be changing up there.  I think, while he's a little "odd," Wilf is doing the right things.  First of all, Rick Spielman is a helluva GM.  He's really doing a good job putting the pieces together on the field.  Yeah...Childress is a little iffy at the head coach position, but I can't really say that McCarthy is any better.

I also think that they have a commitment to improve the facilities too.  The city (or state) will have to step up though.  But Wilf is miles ahead of where that car salesman-dude was a few years ago.

I agree.  Gotta give the GM props.  He has put a good group together.  He sure does fly under the radar.  Not a well known name.
