Interesting stat across the ticker durin the Louisville v Seton Hall game - we are 3rd in BE defense.  Now I was witness to the events of January 20 so I have no expectations of trophy case expansion this year.  But I am curious what peoples thoughts are as to the need for "bigs".  Will seven footers with lesser agility help us more or can we continue to recruit 6-6 and under for solid d and average shooting abilities.  What will help us more to not only avoid episodes like last night but also add some silverware and  update a banner or two.

i actually thought we played some pretty good defense last night.  problem was we gave up some bad offensive rebounds, had some very bad fouls with just afew ticks left on the shot clock.  depsite all that we only gave up 51 points on the road that is pretty solid against anyone.  The only bad stretch was in the middle of the second half when cubi got abused by will wlaker for a period, got them back into the game.  apart form that period our defense was quite good.

The reason we lost was becase we were tentaive on offense, the only guy on our team capable of driving is DJO, we misses layup after layup and we had crucial turnovers and missed FT's down the stretch.  Give up 51 and you should win our offense was terrible we mised 4-5 layups that were rather uncontested in a row
