...except the 2 wins were against DePaul and Providence and the Losses to Villanova, GT and WV.

Instead we're at 2-4 with 5 really strong games, a win against a top-15 team, and a bad loss on the road.

I'm not saying we should be thrilled with yesterday's outcome. I'm not (I'm just not gnashing my teeth over it). But all things being equal, wouldn't we rather be 2-4 with a high-quality win and a road loss than 2-4 with no quality wins and beating DePaul?

We were embarrased by a poor team with a less than rookie coach. There is no way to spin this loss.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Dear useful and pleasant -  not every glass is half full.  Keep those rose tinted glasses  on!  And yes, a pile of crap on your floor does mean that there is a pony nearby!

I would much rather lose to UWGB at the Resch Center.

Yep, you guys are right. Let's all head over to the thread titled "embarrassing effort from an embarrassing team" and roundly mock these young men for not winning the game for us and our egos.

The problem isn't that I think the glass is half full -- its that you saw it as being 64 oz and overflowing and just discovered it might only be a Dixie cup with a few drops. That's your issue, not mine or the teams.

Once again, Utile - agree with you (though you need to change your first post to beating GT and Providence...not beating DePaul...trying some revisionist history?  ;D)

It's not trying to spin anything. I'm not trying to downplay last night's game. I'm also not trying to over-magnify it into something it's not. Good teams lose to bad teams all the time. DePaul didn't coin the phrase "upset" last night. We had an off night. Pick up and move on.
