That was exactly the point of my post.  Butler seems to get fouled frequently and DJO is a good driver - perhaps we could try to get some more whistles early in the half to get the fouls to accumulate faster.

There's just a bit more leeway in FT shooting when you're guaranteed 2, instead of having to make the first one.

Agreed

I was there watching the game and hoping that they would foul Hayward.  Seconds later when they fouled Coobie, I sensed a miss was coming.  What's this poll going to prove other than any of us responding to it can be wrong.
Put a gun to my head and I'll still take Hayward.  But I might not live to talk about it.

Just wondering what is the pulse of the board. I'm not sure Buzz really knows right now, either, unless he addressed somewhere in the last 24 hours and I missed it.
GO WARRIORS!

Acker missed the front end of a 1 and 1 vs. Georgetown that likely would have cost us the game had they not come down and missed on the ensuing possession.  Fact of the matter is that every one of our starters last night has now had a go at missing clutch ft's to ice a game this year. Butler vs. FSU, DJO vs.WVU, DJO and Hayward vs. Nova at home, Acker vs. Georgetown, and Hayward and Cubillan last night. Maybe Buycks or Cadougan should take them? I think we lead the Big East in FT percentage, but if they kept stats on the final minute or two I bet we'd rank dead last.

You summarized that pretty well Ready. Hence the reason for my question, and why I even put Cadougan on there.

Funny you say that. I looked up those numbers and posted them on Scout and was promptly ripped. Here's the info:

Here are the 4 close conference losses, specifically FTs in the last 3 minutes.

WV: 1-4
VU: 3-6
VU: 6-6
DP: 0-2

9-18. 50%. And that's with the perfect 6-6 at Nova. It's become less a fluke and more a trend. A bad one.
