As a bulls fan I never thought Bryant was the next Jordan.  Lebron is the first next MJ I can see happening.
That said i can never let a jordan comparison go without mentioning the hand check rule.

They all get star treatments, if players were allowed to hand check James, he still would score around 30 a night.

The scary thing are when freshman in high school aren't the next Jordan, but the next LeBron (which IS happening!)

Harold Miner was the first "next Jordan" that I can recall.  There have been quite a few, haven't there.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

IIRC he was "baby Jordan" simply because he won the dunk contest... not based on overall game.

Yeah, to me he is "on his way" to become the next MJ.  He needs his Scottie Pippen, and his Phil Jackson, before he can win the championships that will truly make him MJ's equal.  This is why I think he teams up with someone like DWade and leaves Cleveland.

Well, they would also have to drop Vinnie.  Vinnie is one of the few coaches worse than Mike Brown.
