Early Bracketology Projections
« on: January 11, 2010, 10:42:10 PM »
Marquette listed in "Next Four Out" category - which follows the "First Four Out" category.  So, as it stands right now, clearly Lunardi see us as a Bubble Team.  Suprisingly he lists Notre Dame in the Next Four Out category as well.  Ironically he has Xavier in as a 10 seed...

Noticed that.

Good to see MU being mentioned in Tourney Talk, but - though it's early - it sucks to see them slotted to be out of the dance.

Well, MU has a chance to beat 10 seeds Cincy and Louisville which would put Marquette at least in over them.  Though you would think the Xavier game would have but us in over them.  Lots of good opportunities to prove ourselves though..

It is also interesting that FL State is a 6 seed with three losses.  Had we held on against them, both teams would have had four losses and we have played a harder schedule.  Who knows.

If you win, you move up.  So if we put a few wins together over the next couple of weeks, we'll be off the bubble.  Just given the fact that we're on the board at this point in the season is very encouraging, IMO.
