Lose by 2 to Nova on their home court
« on: January 09, 2010, 04:03:10 PM »
Outstanding effort in the 2nd half.  Most teams would fold.  Hand it to our players for not walking away and just settling for "wait til next season".

You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Its hard to win at the Pavillion.  Nova has had some stellar games there in recent years.

I agree 110%.  And why was the tone of Rosiak's article so negative?  This loss was a "disappointing trend?" Really?

Not to be hyper technical, but losing another heartbreaker (1-5 this season, if I recall correctly) is not only a trend, but also quite disappointing. Its an accurate statement.

That said, the team deserves credit for how it has played against top teams. Buzz has done a great job.

Amazing how stats alter reality, we have lost 5 games by 4 points or less one of those being NC St. the reality is NCS was not a close game but we scored a bunch a the end to make it look closer than it was.  I did a double take when I saw that we had lost 5 by 4 points or less since in my mind NCS was in essence a blowout in the second half.

Sorry, I used the wrong word.  Rosiak said "disturbing."  I just think nobody expected us to be in any of these tough games at all, esp. on the road.  How can that be disturbing trend?  We can agree to disagree, though.

Agree with your points. Well said.
