So my buddy and I were at the G'Town game and during the timeout when they play "Jump Around" we started talking about how it would be funny if the whole student section stood up and started "fist pumping" like the guidos and guidettes from the t.v. show Jersey Shore. We were thinking it'd be great to play some techno "house music" during a t.v. timeout and get the entire student section to fist pump along. The Jersey Shore is a flash in the pan phenomenon and the Marquette student section needs to take full advantage of its popularity. I'm envisioning a spot on Sportscenter's Top Ten if this is executed correctly.

Anyways, just and idea and I thought the people that could actually make this happen (i.e. dudes that sit in the front row and make those papers every game) are probably reading this board.

That's the situation.

damuts222

That show is stupid and in no way should the student body give publicity to guidos or guidettes

You would all need orange tans and blow out haircuts to accomplish correctly.

Agreed.  And please don't try and make those idiots even more popular than they already are.

And an affinity for creatine and jager bombs...

Muhoops85

I have not seen this show, but I'm not in the target demographic.

Perhaps if the students could work something in with a sign or two for "Third Coast Shore" or "Lake Michigan Shore"?

A student section full of fake-bake?

The "Jersey Douchebag" has been around for a couple years and has recently been popularized by the show Jersey Shore.  I'm not from Jersey... but girls out there like them as much as girls like the normal looking club douchebags here in the midwest.

🏀

Absolutely not. The only time fist-pumping will be acceptable is if it is mocking Seton Hall & Rutgers for being from the hole known as New Jersey.

KipsBayEagle

I really wish I wasn't from new jersey.

I have noticed the amount of big noggin's has drastically dropped from last season.
All my friends I watch games with (and myself) are disappointed, Where are carlton and uncle phil during the nova games?

it would be funny to have some jersey boy big noggins against rutgers...do we play them at home?

You realize that this game was over Winter Break, don't you?  Most of the people sitting in the student section, weren't even students.

Let's leave the joysey mimickry to the professional douches at Rutgers

This is the single worst idea for a cheer I could think of. I wouldn't want Marquette to be on Sportscenter for this. It would be embarrassing.
