its going to be a long season..if we can't get some paint touches ..and some *bunnies*

Georgetown makes everyone shoot longer shots more than they want to, not every game is going to be like this.
“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

I was at the game. Actually, while we shot a ton of 3s, it did not seem like that was our only offensive mindset.  We just could not get a shot off in the paint.  The team was very patient and took the 3s when they were there.  There were very few forced shots in this game.

We shot a lot of threes, but they were good threes for the most part. Not desperation end-of-the-shot-clock threes. Moved the ball around, kicked it to the open man...bang.

And let's give G-town some credit. They played great D and are much, much stronger in the paint than us. Credit MU for finding a way.

We got a lot of shots off, but the only problem was about 90% got pounded back in our grill...

But at the end of the day, we had more points, and that's all I care about.

Leave it to a Chicagoan to start a thread like this....  TONIGHT.  I forgive though, it is in your geographic DNA.  We FOUND a way man...  I think this team can live and die with a lot of things not just the 3.  It is fun when we win isn't it?  If we make the tournament living and dying by the three, by the jumper, by less "margin of error", by overaggressive defense....  I will be ecstatic.  Ring it.

Please observe the midnight rule, even if you are from Chicago.

Sincerely,

B.  Williams

Do you have some other offensive attack that we can live and die on?

We had some forced shots, but for the most part, the perimeter shooting was all in rhythm.

We had to beat Gtown from the perimeter tonight; there wouldn't have been another option.

Wow - lots of loyal MU fans here in Chicago.  I drive up for all the homegames from Chicago, and there are many great fans here, and elsewhere.
