I have watched the 'Eers twice so far this year and Huggins has fully converted them into a physical, hack-a-lacious team.  They a foul A LOT.  I looked at Pomeroy and they are 204th in the country in free throw attempts given up (pace independent, lower is worse).

The key to this game may be the refs calling it tight and Marquette shooting their free throws well.  I think WVU will score their points as our defense is not great.  However, if we can shoot 80% or better from the line in the game and get there 25+ times, we may at least have a shot.

underdog road team getting to the line more ....dont count on it.   Dont get me wrong i absolutely agree in fact that is a key stat in any game.

Last year's team was great at getting to the line.  This year, not so much.  Although maybe Butler and Buycks can help out in that area.  Also +1 to Hayward...road refs...meh...not always kind to the visiting team.

I think I am going to keep my mouth shut in the prediction department in the future.  The number of free throws an fouls was quite low, especially playing WVU.  Howver, the missed ones certainly hurt.
