He's not our type of player, unless we're starting a football team.

SUPER ATHLETE...  Would be a dominate player in college basketball... But since he is (or maybe was) ranked number one as a football recruit (OL) I think he is going that route.

Yeah, maybe if he were 5 inches taller. Otherwise, he sounds like Lloyd Moore to me. While we need bigmen, they have to be players and get up and down the court with the rest of the team. I hope Buzz is selective with his last 2 scholarships and doesn't pull a Crean.

This is why you can't put too much stock into the lists that are out on the various recruiting sites...they do a terrible job of updating information for players that aren't in the top 100.

Henderson hasn't been looking at playing basketball for more than a year.  He never had a final list for basketball schools, because he always intended to play college football.  But in one interview back in May 2008, he briefly mentioned what schools he would look at if he were going to play basketball, and he mentioned MU.

Nothing that I'd feel confident posting about, especially with transfers because it's always a dicey situation until things are officially announced.

and all of us from the early 80's can remember what a bust Lloyd Moore was.....though I remember a video of him dancing at an MU event that showed he moved much better on the dance floor than he did on the BB floor...

Lloyd showed his best moves through a buffet line. Once saw him and Fat Rick at the Sunday all you can eat brunch at the Hyatt. Wasn't able to get my money's worth. Pretty bizarre for a Street & Smith All American.

Man he was a load. Even if he were to have been in shape, he was just BIG. Had really good big-man basketball skills; but, those rolls of blubber were too much to overcome.

As I remember it, he was about the same class as Kerry Trotter.

Trotter was close to the highest rated recruit ever at MU. Back then, Street and Smith was the rating guru.

as long as you mean same year (class) and not same ability (class)...kerry trotter could shoot with either hand.  the only thing lloyd moore could do with either hand is pick up food to put in his mouth

Seantrel Henderson may be the top football recruit for the entire 2010 class.  He is projected to be a starting tackle in the NFL.  If Buzz signs him, that would be the recruiting coup of the century.

Seantral has been to something called Noetr Dame, Carroll's USC, Flo-rida and Ohio State, with unofficials to Iowa and the great University of Minnesota, which he lives very close to.  Not only does his high school produce a lot of quality Marquette kids, it also has a knack for graduating sensational two (or more) sport athletes (see: Joe Mauer).

Henderson will commit to a school in early February most likely... and most definitely to play football.  If he performs as expected, he's a future first round NFL pick.

My money is on USC, but there's no great indications as of yet.  I'm hoping he stays home... but with Brewster at the helm and this team's history, I couldn't blame dude for going elsewhere.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

He went to San Diego State, got up to around 265 pounds (6'8") and grew a pervert-mustache.  In 2008-09, SDSU went 26-10 and lost in the NIT semifinals against Baylor.  Ryan started 26 games and appeared in 33 (injured early in the season), averaging 22 mpg.  7.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg.

He worked out for at least one NBA team this summer ('hometown' Timberwolves)... but is now in Italy, playing for something called Aget Imola and last I looked was averaging approximately 5 and 5 per game.  I believe his team is a buncha euro dudes + Robert Vaden, the stud from UAB (by way of following Mike Davis after his firing from II, II).
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

So he's getting paid like like a bunch of former MU players. Seems like the transfer to Steve Fisher worked out just fine for Ryan. Did Supermario go with to Europe?

Supermario, you mean Amo's AAU coach? Or his little brother? Biggest tool in the shed.

Yes. Probably the Number 1 recruit in the country. Something tells me he won't be at MU next year.
