Hey Vikings, I like what you've done with the basement.

American 62 - Depaul 57 - FINAL

Does DePaul suck that bad?  I know Mac Koshwal is out, but has the team given up?

No, they really do suck that bad.   I think Presbyterian could beat them...maybe NJIT too. That was harsh, but they are that bad.

2) It was 64-47 (score correction, plus it irks me like no other when people provide a score with the lower score first... I mean, literally pains me to see it or hear it)
4) Yep.  It's done.  American was only 1-8, but that includes a tough 1-point lost to powerhouse Albany, so it's almost as if they came in 2-7.  At least we will not be in last place this year.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Vlad Moldoveanu, a 6'9" mid-year transfer played his first game tonight for AU, pumping in 26 points, with 8 rebounds and 4 assists--including 5-10 for three.  AU lost to Maryland Eastern Shore by 7 earlier in the year.  Who is Buzz bringing in mid-year to right the ship?

Thanks for the correction, not even sure what I was trying to type.  As for the lower score first - generally I agree, for example, If I has said "Cincy clobbered 64-47 @ UAB today", I would have done that.  Since I followed the statement completely, I (think) I chose to go with the convention of the home team score being mentioned 2nd.

Argue with the logic all you want  (spiral actually likes this argument - he always puts the home team second),  but it would be more clear if that was the convention.

My (strong!) preference would be, "2) Cincy CLOBBERED @ UAB today (65-57 [sic])"... you already indicated they were beat, you already explained who the home team was.. so I struggle with the thought that stating the higher score first is an attack on logic...

I understand standard formatting (for example, scrolling sports scores can have the visiting teams to the left, home team on the right... scoreboards can stick to one way or the other).. but in spoken or free format written communication... leading with the lower score FREAKS ME OUT.  (I tend to worry about only the most important things in life)

I wonder what spiral would do in the case of a neutral site game, if he knew who was the designated 'home team' wearing the 'home jerseys' for the game.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.
