Open Tryouts
« on: December 15, 2009, 09:44:57 AM »
Which press release will come out first? "Open tryouts at the Al over Christmas break"...or "Maymon back after apologizing to teammates and coach."

TC won a handful of games with a group of walk-ons last year, You never know where you will find a diamond in the rough. Maybe a great three point specialist, maybe some big goofy 7'er.

All that would do is give us next year's Rob Frozena.

Unless the MU student body has changed since my time, I doubt there are any spare 7'0ers around.

+1 we don't need any other rob frozenas as much as the student body loves to see him come in. Play Mbao play Williams. We need to realize this is a rebuilding year

They are down to 10 players for practice. They might take on more walk ons.
But I like to throw handfuls...

Yeah, that's all I meant.
There are some serviceable practice guys playing at the rec every night.
maybe a few meat heads to muscle around at practice....

Indeed I did, but I never said give out scholarships...and letting a kid walk on for the second semester of a season doesn't mean he is going to be on the team next year.
