Jerry Sichting (filling in for Crean who was sick today)

About game in general: Did a lot of things well, didn't shoot the ball great, got sloppy, but played with great energy and good defense.  Wanted to speed the game up as much as they could, 67 points against the slowdown was pretty good.

On Pace: MU picked up a little more in second half to try to force turnovers and speed game up.  A couple times MU didn't rotate very well after trap, and then got beat:

On Ooze's 11 & 11: He has 3% body fat, and a lot of centers leave the court with the tongue hanging out from exhaustion.  That's Ooze's strength and that's what they want him to do.

On Ooze's shooting: Pretty good with left hand, kinda unorthodox, and not very pretty.  He takes a long step when he turns around and that's effective and deceptive.  He runs somewhat funny and doesn't look like he's fast,. but gets down the floor faster than other guys

On DJ: He's played with great defensive energy and has no turnovers in past couple games.  Struggling on offense but he'll pick that up. Realized it tonight and just decided to do the other things he does well.

On Big East road ahead: Georgetown is totally different from the old Georgetown team playing Princeton offense.  They shoot the ball well, and can back-cut.  A key will be having ooze run against Hibbert.

Wesley Matthews

On pace: Knew they were going to slow game down.  Needed to limit RU to one shot because they rebound well.

On having more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds: He was thinking about it more on offense.  Only had 2 rebounds the other night and knew that he could do better.  His goal tonight to get as many as he could.

On home stretch starting at Georgetown: Looking forward to it.  Good players and a good system.  Will be a tough game,

On 8 games in a row: Going to try to keep it rolling:

On Ooze Running:  "He's a runner".  Even when he doesn't get the ball, he opens up the lane so much.

What stats do you look at?: Looks at assists and rebounds to know what kind of game it was.  If they can get rebounds and get everyone else going then the know it will be a good game.

On DJ: Not scoring that much, but he'll get that kicked up.  Now he's just looking for his teammates.  He's drawing a lot of attention, and he recognizes that rather than being immature and trying to take it on himself.  He makes the plays to get his teammates good shots instead.
