Paint touches
« on: December 13, 2009, 07:03:32 AM »
Thinking again about yesterday's game, I'm remembering that I found myself keeping an eye out for Buzz's favorite 'paint touches'. It really seemed to me that we weren't getting enough, and our offense struggled.

More, against a bigger team (which basically every team we play has been and will be), I think we need to look back out of the lane once we get a paint touch. An inside outside game.

I'd like to see Lazar flash into the lane then look to get it back out to DJO for a jumper. Don't think I saw an inside-out play all day.

I am glad I am not the only one who noticed this.  I spent most of the 1st half thinking we have no chance to win unless we start getting some paint touches.  There seemed to be a lot of perimeter passing and the ball never got close to the hoop, combine that with some poor shooting and you have the disaster that was most of the 1st half.

Roger no paint touches. I was thinking that yesterday as the disaster of Half One was playing out. Seems they deviated from the Flight Plan.
