It's all about the shirt.  No plaids, no checks, no prints.   He needs to stick with the solids, then he's fine.

romey

yeah, that was ugly.  Don't kill me for saying this, but with the added weight since his arrival and the shaved head, he kinda looks like Mel Gibson's nemesis in Mad Max.

bma725

You all clearly don't understand Texas lawyer fashion.  Just be happy he hasn't worn a bolo tie yet.

Huggins is the worst dressed coach in the BE

No situation should call for those track suits he wears, especially not coaching a basketball game.

Somehow the track suits just don't compare to this:

Loved the exchange between Homer and Buzz pregame... Homer made reference to the outfit saying he'd never wear that... Buzz then went on to comment on Homer's look.  A white shirt.  I agree it is a terrible look by Buzz, but it is true Buzz.  He doesn't care and is able to throw it right back at Homer.

Maybe it is because I live in Dallas, but..I thought Buzz looked sharp tonite...and as much as I love Milwaukee, you do need to realize it isn't exactly a very fashion forward city.  Clearly I'm in the minority with my opinion on this topic, but I've got to say I thought it was sharp.

Thought he looked good too.   Liked the plaid mix in, gives him a southern "I know what I'm doing, don't make me stick my boot up your azz" look.

Hmmmm.  I've lived in Dallas. (liked it)  Lived in Chicago.  Milwaukee, Phoenix, Boston.

In any of these cities, Buzz needs to go with solids.  If he wants to be adventurous, he can do so with his tie.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

There's a difference between being fashion forward and getting a bit too aggressive with the edgy combos. Some looks are classics for a reason. All told, however, Buzz is sharply dressed more often than not.

SCdem@MU

This was better than most nights last season; he was just wearing an odd combination tonight. Last year he wore some truly ugly ties and shirts.

He also gets points tonight for wearing a darker suit jacket so we can't see the sweat seeping through both his shirt and his jacket.

I think Buzz just never really had money before and he knows he has to buy expensive clothes, but he has no clue what combinations to wear.

Or perhaps the Athletic Department promoted Crean's tanning bed attendant to be Buzz's personal fashion assistant. That would explain a lot actually.

4everwarriors

Here's the issue. Buzz is overweight. Not a rip. Just the truth.
Overweight folks have a hard time looking edgy.
Were he svelt, Buzz would look good in almost anything.
Don't know if Mark Pasch is his clothier, as he was for the other, or if a new deal has been struck.

+1

I am pretty sure I saw that shirt tie combo on a mannequin at Brooks Brothers last week.

It's part of his MO.  I think he'd look out of place in some conservative get-up.

Quick question for those of you questioning Buzz's fashion sense (I didn't see it, I wasn't there)...How many of you ever did, or God forbid still do wear those ridiculous sweater vests?

One thing that doesn't compute is .. Buzz is overweight, yet he ran what, 500 miles this summer for his "challenge"?  Running 5-8 miles a day, you'd think would drop him 20 pounds.   That, plus he's hardly a couch potato .. I imagine he is super active through the day.   Don't quite get the persistent thickness, unless his food intake is redonkulus.

StillWarriors

He has to be careful, that head may pop one of these days.

I recently read this article describing the following (I'm definitely not an expert on this):
Exercise does not lead to weight loss.  The belief that "exercise will make you skinny" is a contemporary one.

Did he ever complete that?  If so I would have expected we'd see a "body transformation" from him.  I think it's impossible to run 244 miles in 40 days without losing weight.

QuoteMILWAUKEE - Marquette men's basketball coach Buzz Williams made a promise to his young team this season.

After they completed his intense offseason conditioning program, he'd run the distance from Milwaukee to Indianapolis, the site of the Final Four, over 40 days.

That's 244 miles.

And Williams was late to media day because he was getting changed from a 5-mile run beforehand that brought him up to 62 miles into the journey.

[clip]

Williams will finish on Friday, Nov. 13 before Marquette takes on Centenary in the season opener. Forward Jimmy Butler is making sure Williams reaches that goal or he won't hear the end of it.

I would occasionally wear one to golf when it was a chillier day and I didn't feel like wearing long sleeves, other than that, no thank you.

LOL, sounds like an article that fat lazy people would gobble up.  Hah.

Listen, I didn't even ready the article (bad me...), but I don't know anybody that exercises daily and is still overweight.  Well, I should say "does cardio exercise daily".  I know plenty of people that lift, and still have a gut.
