I, for one, care. Thanks for the information. Always interesting to see how the former-MU player's are doing.

Based on some of the talk this offseason, Mbakwe was due to make a splash for Minnesota this year... what happened?
Eric Williams of MU is getting more minutes!

Eric Williams is getting more P.T. than Mbakwe?!?  Yeesh.

Well, Mbakwe is out pending trial for his assault in FL.  Not a "not getting PT" kind of situation.

Good catch... I forgot about that.  Hopefully everything works out.

You forgot one!   :)

Brett Roseboro played 6 minutes for St. Bonaventure against St. John's last night...0-1 FG, 1 steal, 1 TO, 1 foul.

Roseboro will get more PT.  He's nursing a recently separated shoulder.

Mbakwe - of the trouble trio at Minnesota (the other two being Royce White [Mr. Basketball, highly rated frosh and Devron Bostick [Racine, WI JUCO transfer that played 11 mins/game last year for the Gophers], he's the only one to make an appearance in street clothes on the bench for both games this year (Bostick due to classes most likely... Royce due to him being a jagoff).

I doubt Royce or Trevor will ever play for the maroon and gold.  Very upsetting.

Where did Bostick play in Racine?

Where did Bostick play in Racine?

Didn't - played in Illinois for JUCO, but is from Racine, WI.

he played high school ball at St. Cat's.

Thanks bma, I should have clarified my question.  I went to HS in Racine so I'm always interested to follow others from there.

No...I think Jay Bee is under the impression that players go right from middle school to JUCO.

No, I thought the guy was asking where did he play JUCO ball as my initial post wasn't clear that I was saying he's a JUCO guy AND originally from Racine.  I also think certain things of you.

Who cares?

It's interesting to see a MU recruit at 6'7'' who grabs 35 rebounds over two games. Perhaps we should have Maymon take a chair and learn some knowledge from the Duquesne star.

They arent a part of the program, so it isnt "MU-related BK news"

I hear ya. Your problem is one of semantics with the thread title, not necessarily the content of the thread.

My main point is that at 6'7'' Saunders is showing how to rebound. We'll need that this season if we continue forward with a preferred forward tandem of Butler--Hayward--Maymon.

Can't remember the history of Damian Saunders - did he sign with MU, but then had trouble or transferred?  Did he ever enroll/practice with the team?

Nice game for Christopherson.  Always liked that kid, hope he does well.

The official excuse was that he wasn't admitted due to academic issues, though those "issues" were somehow not discovered until days before the fall semester was to start instead of several months earlier.  Basically we had four players coming in with three open scholarships, you do the math. Saunders was cast off to Duquesne where he has been outstanding, Christopherson was cast off after a year to Iowa State where he was been playing very well, Mbakwe left, and Hazel was cast off after two years to Boston U.  So it turned out to be a completely lost recruiting class.

4everwarriors

Who was the head coach who recruited that entire lost class?

Why wasnt Hazel just "cast off" then...seeing as Saunders was clearly the better player.

There was more to the situation.

Lot more to it than that.

And Christopherson wasn't cast off.  He chose to leave as soon as Crean left.  If Crean were still here, Scott would be too.
