I'm an out-of-towner so I wasn't at the game.  I see Joe didn't fill up the stat sheet Friday (although he had 5 rebounds), but I haven't read much about him since the game.  Can anyone give me their thoughts?

I thought his perimeter on-ball defense was disruptive.  He was also active on the boards.  I can think of 3 open 10-12 footers that he missed.  But, he was active in 18 or so minutes.  Nobody did anything outstanding, except the Stud of the Game Jimmy Butler.  Definite room for improvement!

Actually, when Joe was on the floor Marquette played better and scored more points as I recall.  He missed some open shots, but he is a good shooter and eventually those will fall.  Let's face it, he has not playued in many D1 games, and none with his knee feeling this good.  So he is basically starting.  His shots will fall I think.

He did an acdceptable job on defense, was very disruptive at times, especially during his last minuts, and generally played ok defensively.  Overall, it was a poor defensive output by the team, both permimeter and paint defense, so Fulse stood out to me to be one of the more effective defenders,a nd, as I said, I think we did better with Joe on the floor.
