Thats awesome. Their putting Andrei Kirilenko on the bench for Wes to start. Kirilenko is the biggest waste of money, I think hes making something around $18 million a year.

Wow! It appears as if Sloan is trying to shake things up with Matthews starting instead of AK47.

This could be a test for him to see if he can play with the starters.  I wonder, with the Jazz struggles, if the organization is leaning in a new direction with Wes being a part of it (all speculation and no facts).  I just have been checking up on the Jazz boards and the fans are getting a bit tired of recent roster.

This could be a chance for Wesley to prove he deserves a longer stay and could be more than just a role player in the NBA or at least a consistant role player on the team with Miles, Korver coming back from injuries (I could be getting ahead of myself, but his time has increased significantly and has been playing in the fourth quarter).

Good for Wes!!!  That's awesome!!  AK47 had like 1-2 nice seasons then got a fat pay check and has really fallen off into obscurity around the league.

Wes is going to stay.  He may hit a wall and his minutes may drop, but he has shown enough that the Jazz would be absolutely nuts to drop him now.  Especially since they have the roster space and all they would be doing is saving rookie free agent money.

He looked loose and confident in the Jazz pre-game show, saying he was not concerned about his rookie status, he just wanted to win.  Unfortunately, the actual game is blacked out in the Philadelphia area where I'm located. Great question, but that's what he got.  It was sponsored by Subway, I assume because he's normally a sub, that's why they gave it to him.  The other winner, Maynor...also started tonight.
