If the Clark situation had blown up before Carson Desrosiers committed to Wake, would we have landed him?  Or would it not have mattered?

Wouldn't have mattered.  Desrosiers wants to play at least in part on the perimeter.  Losing Clark would just mean one less big man and he'd have to spend more time down low.
