Jimmy Butler in a boot
« on: October 13, 2009, 12:39:27 PM »
Just got back from classes and saw Jimmy in a walking boot, much like the one DJO has walked around campus in.  Hopefully this is just a Tom Brady-pre Super Bowl situation...

I heard it's been pretty cold back in the Midwest as of late...  Let's hope he's just preparing for winter.

Can Rob hook us up with a statistical analysis of the these foot injuries vs. other Big East schools. Seems like MU is doing something totally messed up here.

How about JUCO players with injuries.

This is another reason MU shouldn't go after these guys.

I can't take any more bad news about the team. I'm just going to sit here at work and pretend that it didn't happen until I hear something from Rosiak.

Wes Matthews wore a boot for a month 2 seasons ago just to protect one of his ankles and only took it off to practice. HOPEFULLY its just a minor twist and he is wearing it as a precaution

I heard from my cousin's mother's friend that he lost his leg in a gruesome farming accident.

There, now whatever we hear in the coming days, it will seem like good news.

My roommate just finished the Chicago Marathon and had pain in his foot a bit prior to the race and then obviously after.  Yesterday, a doctor put him in a boot despite X-rays being negative, just as a precaution.  Alot of times its just to take the pressure off the foot and allow the patient to walk normally.  You'd be surprised how minor annoyances get worse because of the constant stress of walking and standing.  Hopefully that's all it is.

Like when you lose your hair when you go through chemo, and everyone at your work shaves their heads, they should have the whole team wear boots.  That way, we'll just think it's one guy who really needs the boot.  That would be easier for everyone to take, and natural cover for Buzz, to boot.

Rosiak is working diligently to find an article on the web that was written about Butler's walking boot.  Once he finds it, he'll copy and paste it into his blog.

Geez, I never knew there was so much dislike of Todd Rosiak.

Dodds reports he's in the boot, but is still practicing. Sounds very precautionary to me.

Sending fans in a tizzy by wearing a boot as a precaution is a bootable  offense.
