Another interview from the June 3, 2009 pre-draft workouts in Minnesota.  He talks for the second half of the clip with a voiced over highlight or two.  Not bad.

It's too bad that when you search Jerel on Youtube, AJ Price's ankle-breaker comes up.

It looks like they have him running the point in the workouts, and I like how he finished with the dunk in the 3v3 drills.

sweet vids.  thanks for posting.  Man I hope the Bucks are smart enough to draft Jerel (or Wes is Jerel is already gone.)

For whatever reason the Bucks have a history of ignoring the hometown players -- Novak and Diener were there for the taking in previous drafts. They would look good now in a Bucks uniform. As you said, Jerel or Wes would be a great basketball and PR move.

Haha, yeah I saw that.  But it really didn't register.  I erased that from my memory and now just take it as pure CGI.

It never happened, it couldn't have happened. Let's go 'Rel!

Good god...after watching a couple of clips of workouts, I'm amazed at how well an "average shooter" like McNeal (and some of the other guys in the clips) shoots the ball w/ no defense.  I have a better appreciation of how well you have to shoot the ball just to be an average jump shooter...

I remember seeing an interview with Danny Ferry on tv years ago and during the interview -- while talking -- he was shooting 3-pointers.  It was absolutely amazing -- he almost never missed.  I didn't track it at the time, but I would not be surprised if he hit 90% or so.  Same thing with a lot of these guys shooting free throws who will hit 10 of 10 without missing a beat, over and over and over again.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Hah yup, I saw Trend Blackledge make 11 in a row during warmups before the Georgetown game last year.  Your "average" college shooter is pretty much lights without a defense.
