From an interview with Ty Zeller, UNC's freshman who retuned from an injury to help the Tar Heels' NC run:

Quote"Zeller, the 2008 Indiana Mr. Basketball and a state champion with the Washington Hatchets, has seen the very best Hoosier Hysteria has to offer. But the atmosphere surrounding North Carolina basketball — including the Tar Heels' 22,000 seat arena, the Dean Smith Center or "Dean Dome" — that every year draws some of the best players in the nation to Chapel Hill, is something Zeller says "You can't imagine until you're here."

"I thought Indiana basketball was a big deal, but the people in North Carolina are just crazy about basketball," said Zeller. "They love it. It's great having 22,000 people here to watch you play basically anybody."

I guess Indiana is actually one of the other 49.......take that tanned one.....

apples and oranges. of course there's more hoopla for UNC than indiana h.s. basketball, at least i would hope so, otherwise that would be embarrassing for UNC basketball.

I couldn't find the original interview that I read last week in an Indiana newspaper. This was edited and left out the comments about him turning down IU to go to UNC . The difference he was talking about was IU vs UNC, not HS basketball.

Out of context I can see how you might interpret it this way but that wasn't his intention.

It was in an article that refuted comments on the IU boards that said he was unhappy at UNC and was transferring to IU.
