Any updates on Liam's health situation?

Badgerhater

Medical issues are private and protected under a federal law known as HIPPA.   When such news is released, and it can only be released with McMorrow's -- not the university's-- permission, I am sure Rosiak will have a blog post.  Until then we need to practice patience.

If another player is signed, particularly a JUCO big, you can probably safely assume Liam's MU career will never be.

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Not sure this means anything, but T. Rosiak had his in his latest article on DJO.  I guess we can just hope for the best.  Has anyone seen Liam play lately?  The last reports I heard were from Rosiak's open gym reports before the season started.

"Assuming redshirt center Liam McMorrow ultimately is cleared to play, Williams will have seven players new to Division I to begin next season."

The guy was just asking if anyone knew anything, not demanding information, but thanks for straightening him out.

Thanks mom. Lets hope he is doing well I really think he could be one of the better big men we've had in recent history, unfortunately thats not saying much but I wish him the best. I would rather see Liam healthy than be able to play bball again, his health is more important.

Your welcome.

It gets tiresome seeing the SAME topics posted ad nauseum when the information has already been put out a bunch of times....its the same deal when people always wonder about who has what schollies...check the damn schollie table!!!!     I have had to deal with HIPPA issues in a past job, many people are not aware it exists.  People can get in serious legal trouble if they violate it....so when McMorrow wants us to know, we will know.

lab_warrior

Yeah, what is this, like the 50th post about McMorrow's health??  We'll know when we know.

Well, life is dynamic, and we've got members who have classes with him.  Its conceivable they might have spoke to him about this and have some updated insight.  So its not a reach to ask occasionally if there is an update.   ::)
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Personally, I'd avoid hassling a 7 foot tall hockey player about his health.

Not everyone reads this board everyday, much less has the patience to go through pages and pages of past topics to find the info. Guess what? Not everyone is as familiar with this site and its amenities as you are. When people get pissed at a simple question then why are you answering it? If you don't like it, then don't click to the topic. This is a message board..not a running conversation between the most active users that no one else can be a part of.

I would think if you've dealt with it in a past job, you'd at least know that it's HIPAA and not HIPPA.  owned.

Big Papi

The latest on Liam is that nothing has changed.  Had his last test this past Monday.  They are still moving forward with more tests and such.  No negative signs to stop moving forward so that is a positive.

Sounds like they still don't really know what is going on with Liam.

This was from Buzz being on Homer's show about a half hour ago.

Also, Homer did ask if Buzz was still recruiting and Buzz responded with the usual coach speak, he is always recruiting.  He did say that he does not want to be put into a situation like this past year where he was unable to use a scholarship when Mbakwe left.  He won't use a scholarship on a player that he doesn't have the talent necessary to compete in the Big East so he didn't use one when Mbakwe left.  Doesn't want to be put into that situation again.

Unfortunately, how does one realistically use a scholarship on Labor Day?

Do the preferred walk on thing like we tried with Donald Williams last year and hope that no one swoops in to offer him a scholarship at the last minute like UK did.
