That's right. It's a party, a celebration to last throughout the years.

As you know Wednesday, April 1 is the first annual FFC Day*. All loyal MU basketball fans should rejoice, take off of school or work and party till you puke. Grab your old lady or old man and pretend you're a teenager again. It just doesn't get any better than this.
Amazingly, it was just one short year ago that the Marquette basketball world stood still while watching
the developments in the continuing saga of TC via the most personal of all media, ESPN.
To this day, one burning question remains, "Tommy, what took you so long?"

HA... totally forgot but now I remember one of my friends texting me the news and thinking it was an April Fools joke.

One of those times you'll always remember where you were. I was on the 4th floor of Cudahy getting ready for a night class.

The General called me ... "Hey. This isn't an April Fool's joke. Crean to Indiana."

Old man.  I won't exactly rejoice as Tommy is good coach.  But if he can't get the job done at Mu than f em.

You want memorable?  I was at Heathrow Airport in London, waiting for a flight to Minneapolis.  I was wearing an MU shirt, and a guy in an Indiana shirt comes up to me and says "I hear we just got your coach."  He walks away and I have to get on the plane without knowing for sure what he was talking about and whether he was telling the truth.  I learned that it was true while in Minneapolis waiting for my connection.

Fortunately, the chaos that is Heathrow helped to distract my thoughts.  The signage there is atrocious, and a large group of passengers (me included) was led down a jetway toward a flight that was actually headed to Accra. :o  By the time we learned that it was the wrong flight, there was a large crowd behind us on the jetway trying to get on, so it took quite a while to get out.  By the time we did, they were on the verge of removing our luggage from the Minneapolis flight and leaving without us.  And oh, yeah...that was in the midst of the Terminal 5 luggage disaster at Heathrow, so removing our luggage might just have meant that it would have been shipped to a warehouse in Milan (http://edition.cnn.com/2008/BUSINESS/04/02/heathrow.milan/index.html).

No, I don't think I'll forget that day for a LONG time.

OK, now we can get back to Kool and the Gang....
