so ugly.  everyone, except Lazar, looked like they didn't have their legs (all shots hit the front of the rim).  Phewwww!!!!

14 point lead in first half, USU goes zone and we go down the toilet.  Wes and jerel not the same since DJ injury.  Not even close.

Wes was 3 for 16, Jerel was 3 for 10, Acker 1 for 5 and burned by that Quayle kid. Burke typical nothing, 3 rebounds, no fouls.

Untypical was Butler, who fouled out and was non-issue.

Missed free throws by Jerel and Lazar at end was heart attack city.

BUT,  Jerel made an awesome layup/shot and team defense in first half was outstanding.  THANK YOU LAZAR, that was best game of your career.

We need a much better effort out of Wes, Jerel and Jimmy on Sunday if we want to move on...

our poor shooting in the first half made this a much closer game than it should have been.  14 point lead in the first half just evaporated.

wes and rel 6/26, putrid.

Need to get Jerel going Sunday - he was not aggressive at all this game - except for that final bucket, which came at the perfect time. I'd love to see him do more of that instead of just standing on the deep wing watching the ball get passed around the perimeter against the zone.

Can we finally admit that Dominic James was a great player for us?  All of the James bashing around here was over the top.  The guy wasn't a good shooter and, from time to time, took bad shots.  However, we are not as good offensively nor defensively without James.

Sorry... I hate post hijackers and I am doing it some here but when I read posts saying "poor shooting" and "ugly" and just thought how much more flow the offense would have if James was playing.

I'm with you.

Seemed at the beginning like Jerel was intent on passing the ball and not shooting too much. Problem was he kept turning it over and getting himself in bad spots. So....he went back to jacking it up and killed us in the process.

Jerel's been my favorite player the past 4 years but he is a shell of what he was earlier this year these days. Too bad. Just takes one bust out game to get back on track though-let's hope it's Sunday.

I'm with you.

It's been obvious for a while that DJ made Wes and Jerel better and played a considerable role in their success. In football terms, it's like we lost our QB and our middle Linebacker all at once.

Agree with all that has been said but we survived and Sunday is another day.  If Wes and Jerel finally get it going we can win on Sunday, perhaps they can't but I beleive they are better than what ehy showed today.
