McNeal: 22points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds and many steals.

Great game from James, Matthews and Barro.

Up and down second half.  This team thrives when it can run.  When they play the half court offense, they're still a bit shaky.

Well Done!!

Excellent win. Indeed, we looked shaky for a period during the second half, but other than that, great energy and efficiency.

Big props to Matthews and especially McNeal tonight, they came to play.

Wade for President

Tonight was just a prime example of how difficult a match-up we pose for our opponents.  You key in on DJames, and then Matthews fills it up.  McNeal with easily his best all-around game.

Matthews looked much better with the dribble in the open court.  Broke the press quite easily and took it strong to the hoop.

LOVE IT!!!

MU is rolling right now.  Liked how Ooze decided he wanted some numbers in the box score starting in the second half.  Good team play overall.

fun game to attend...
their coach is a little pistol.. kinda reminds me of Fratello.

knew he was going to get a T.. should have had one in the second half.

allowing SH to control the boards was disappointing..
ooze looked in a daze the first half- haven't seen him play less than very hard in a while.

big 3 were awesome-- some of what they do in person just amazes me.

lazar had a nice game.
cube, absent again, but played hard.

fitz needs to shoot to stay in the flow, cause the rest of his game was fairly spotty.

nice win!

Oldgym

Really impressed by Matthews' acrobatics tonight.  Great body control going to the hoop, and good FT shooting by Wes also.  Nice to see Burke get some quality minutes...wish he could shoot FTs.

SoCalwarrior

Matthews was great tonight.  He was the key to the second half.

Obviously Fitz will never be a Novak (he was special), but he's a great outside shooter, and they need to get him into the game more to open up the lane. He could be very good. Instead, he gives good minutes, but isn't free enough to play his game. He's a bit of a liability on defense (seriously, he gets whistled for everything), but I could see him really helping out on the 2-3 if he were considered at all a threat.

Other than that, a great game. I didn't like watching it, but I liked what the 15-0 run showed about the team and Crean's ability to settle them down and run some plays. That inside-dump-to-McNeal-backing-down-to-the-basket-turn-to-an-open-Barro play was sweet. :-)

SHOOT FITZ!!! Thats all I kept yelling at the game tonight.  Cubillian bothered me a lot tonight.  He had a lot of chances to dish to Fitz for open looks and he dribbled in the opposite direction.  I love his toughness, but he needs to play a little smarter.  Fitz has a great stroke, but he drifts way to much on his jumper.  He always seems to be leaning towards the basket when he shoots instead of going straight up and then down.  It's funny because he drifts so much it almost looks like he is following his shot immediately, like he thinks he missed it.  If TC can get him to not drift he will be deadly, that and a little more confidence!

That's exactly what the announcers were saying during ESPN 360's televised game. They mentioned that he needs to believe he can shoot it and the MU coaches were telling him he's the best shooter out there (to get his confidence up).
