The most intresting stats i saw were the weaknessess of USU.  They let some bad teams shoot high percentages against them
Da Bulls

Big Papi

This game will be won the defensive end of the floor.  I don't see Utah State's defense giving us problems but they are very successful on the offensive end.

their guards do not scare me as much as their inside presence.  I think we can stop their guards.  This team reminds me of a less athletic version of villanova, but with a little better big man.

T-Bone

I don't know if the straight numbers they post mean a whole hell of a lot.  As has been said ad nauseum here, the level of competition is different.  I think if you change the stats by a % you might have realistic numbers.

Regardless of that, it is a nice little preview of the teams and the game.
I'm like a turtle, sometimes I get run over by a semi.

Umm just about every team in the country is less athletic than Villanova.

Not so sure about that.

Gary Wilkinson averaged 17 ppg, 6.9 rpg in a very weak WAC
Dante Cunningham averaged 16 ppg, 7.2 rpg in the Big East.

And Cunningham was nonexistent against us in the BET.

Wouldn't mind getting Wilkinson in early foul trouble, gotta think if we get to the rim they call it a lot tighter than our previous 6 games

As others have previously noted, of the Big East squads, they seem to resemble Notre Dame.  A skilled inside player who (likely) will get his points and rebounds, a point guard who while not fantastic is proficient and reliable, and excellent shooters hovering around the 3pt line - just waiting to jack it up.  I agree with those that say defense will win this game for us.
