I used to do this with my swim team.  In that sport, it serves a practical purpose.

But here the motivation is pure badassness...I like this.

The fact that they all agreed to do it says a lot.

Coach Buzz Williams, of course, was all in favor of the idea.

"It was the first thing our guys wanted to talk about yesterday before practice -- if I would have a problem with them shaving their hair off," he said Tuesday night. "I told them I had no problem with it. To my surprise today, when we watched film this afternoon, they all had done it, including (graduate managers) Jamie (McNeilly) and Logan (Bean).

"Obviously, I think it's a great look."

Only two players didn't partake: Dominic James and Liam McMorrow.

James' excuse was that he's now a coach, and not a player.

They look fired up... I am liking how they do things.  Great team chemistry and will only bring them closer for the tourney.

I recognized Butler and Burke right away, but I actually didn't recognize Matthews at first with the headband and shaved head. I had to do a double take. Anyone else have that problem?

I like the look, hate the headbands. If it helps them get psyched and together as this type of thing sometimes does, I'm all for it. Whatever it takes.

I like it, it is better than the mohawk look that seems to be all the rage these days. (IMO)

It shows team unity and will get attention from the talking heads at the sports desk. (no pun intended)  It will send a message about how the players feel about their coach. 

Now lets hope they can buzz cut some teams in the tournament.

It's going to make it harder to figure out who is who on the court when watching on tv. I think it's pretty stupid looking, but if they players like it, more power to them.
