Where are the Hoosiers headed for the post-season? What region, NIT maybe, or will they be selected tomorrow for the women's Tourney?

What's the third tier tournament called again?

Expect DKC to come in and comment any time now on this..................................................

I'll bite.

Seriously?!

We just got the first legitimate seed in the tourney in a decade and a favorable match-up and you decide to snipe at Crean again.  A coaching staff of Red Auerbach, Dean Smith, and Norman Dale wouldn't get IU in the tourney this year.

You sir are a loser and need to move on.

CBI is the third...and the CIT is now the fourth.

On the night MU is slotted in for a tough game against a ranked 11 seed, you started two threads about Tom Crean and Indiana? Weak sauce.

Nope, he's on assignment in charge of making a banner that we're hanging in Assembly Hall celebrating the accomplishments of Crean's first season as ringmaster of the IU basketball circus.

I didn't even realize there was a fourth tourney now but I like this quote from the columnist: "But, at the end of the day, what I like about the addition of another postseason tournament is that deserving teams that do not get a chance [sic] ot prove themselves on a national stage will have an opportunity to play against other winning programs and potentially get some recognition for their play."

Apparently the new tourney brings the number of postseason teams to 129.  I'm not quite sure that the 129th best team in D-1 with a record around .500 is that "deserving."  Then again, what do I know? :)

I'm going to say 9, with a very difficult first round match-up.

The good news is that if we go 0-35 with whomever is the ringmaster at MU, you'll be happy.

And I don't expect DKC to comment.....it's a thread about our former coach who is at another school.  Now, if this was a thread about our current coach with comments from his former school, then I'd clearly expect a comment.   :D

Interesting point for all of those people (and there are a lot) who want to expand the NCAA to 128 teams. If we think some of the teams getting into the CBI or CIT are not tourney worthy why do we want to expand to 128??? Sure...2 or 3 teams get screwed every year but does that warrant allowing 125 completely undeserving teams a shot? I don't think so...

I did all I could!!!!   ;D  Give us two more seasons, and we will have the ship on course to bigger and better things!  Frankly, Auerbach wasn't much help, what with him having passed away in 2006 and all.

I hear Barry Switzer is available to replace Red.
