It's #4 vs. #5 anyhow.  MU got an easy win, got to rest most of its guys, got some confidence back. 

I think we have a better chance NOW to win vs. Nova, than we would have if we were the #4 seed, playing them tomorrow.

Great point--I agree completely.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

It would have required us to win at Pitt or against two of the other four teams we lost to.  I'd take those wins over this anyday, though it is nice to finally win again.

One of those wins would have been good for us, but the other way to get the 4 seed would have been if Nova had lost.  Many here were upset when that didn't happen, but I have to agree that we're fortunate it didn't.  The extra game today was a huge confidence-builder, which is exactly what we needed.  Win or lose tomorrow, I expect a solid game, and a better seed than we'd have gotten if we were still 0 for life without DJ....
