The Man in Gold

McNeal to the Heat...now that would be interesting.
Captain, We need more sweatervests!  TheManInGold has been blinded by the light (off the technicolor sweatervest)

Big Papi

As late second round picks, DJ and Matthews might be better off not getting drafted and then picking and choosing the best situation for them.

HoopsMalone

The Heat know that they have the best chance to win if they have a Marquette-produced shooting guard on the floor at all times.

I think it's a better sell for the program to be able to say that we produce multiple guys who get drafted.

Wes getting picked would be huge for Buzz, I think, since he might not have been drafted under Crean's system.

Would make my year if any of the amigos went to the Heat.

what is the point? Wade will be gone soon enough.

I'd like to see one of them on the Bucks so we can go see them play again.

Wade will most likely leave Miami because his endorsement contracts will be substantially increased (possibly double) if he moves to NY, CHI-Town or LA markets.....so expect him to give a good look at NY and Chicago

There is a point to that, but with expanded TV coverage and internet coverage, being in a major market is not as important as it was back when MJ, Magic, and Bird were in the league.

I think that Wade is just what the Bulls need defensively and he would be able to take the shots at the end of the game that D Rose doesn't seem to want to take.  It would be great to have him in a market with a lot Marquette alums.

When Wade had his jersey retired a few year ago against Providence, I yelled "the Bulls need a shooting guard!" from the student section.  Hopefully that planted a seed in his mind  :)   I can only hope though, as he seems to like Miami, and who wouldn't get used to the weather down there.

Not just the weather.

Have you ever been to South Beach?  That place is loaded with talent, if you know what I mean.

Chicago would be nice.  Would be nice to see Jerel there too - not being selffish here (in CHicago) haha  - but would be exciting!

Being in a larger market directly affects your Q score (i.e. what largely determines your marketability and market worth) and while expanded tv coverage there is it does not change the reach that media has within a specific market......Wade's decision will be all about $$$, so either he will stay in Miami or go to one of the big 3 markets with NY being the leader.

I'm sure growing up in Chicago and being a huge Bulls fan as a kid planted this seed in his mind but way to reinforce it haha.  I would love to see Wade in Chicago.

Here are all of their jerseys.  It looks cool if you center it as a desktop background with a white background.

I'll make something a lot better once they are have real teams.

Speaking of the Bulls, Wade, and the NBA... Did anyone see Wade tonight?

Granted, 2 OT's:  48 points, 12 assists, 6 boards, 4 steals, GW shot.

WOW.

Please come to a Marquette market of Chicago, Milwaukee, or the Twin Cities...

Hards Alumni

I don't hate fun, I live in reality where Basketball is about money.

Endorsemants = money

You'll see Wade in another uniform.  What would keep him in Miami?  The weather?  I would hope Wade's competitive spirit is big enough to realize that Miami is probably one of the worst run franchises in basketball.

I am aware of that, BUT before you hijacked the thread it was about mcneal and where the current players would get drafted.
And although wade would be gone it wouldn't be before the trade deadline at the eariest and probably not till the end of next season.  Since no one KNOWS where wade will end up why not hope for that?  There is only one team i'd rather see him go to and that is the bulls (where hopefully wade could join him in a season).
Or do people in reality not care about draft position cause they are too cool?  Well i've got a news flash for you walter cronkite... You're not.

....and DWade has been enjoying that talent per the recent reports. Not saying it's wrong, just saying....

buckchuckler

Has Marquette's recent play played DJ into the draft?  It has really showed what a difference maker he is.
