Rotation/end of game players on the floor

If MU is going to live and die with Cubillan as the 7th man, why is he not on the floor perhaps gaining some confidence in any part of his game in the final minute or two when it was obvious the game was over? In the bigger picture, I think it's become obvious that MU is going to have get something like a combined 8 minutes out of Fulce, Hazel and Otule at some point, and have Matthews and/or McNeal starting the offense for about that same amount of time each game.
