Just too bad there aren't more horses. While MU plays their ass off, elite teams keep coming at you with more and more bench players who contribute. No apologies necessary with the current group, but they have collectively shot their load. Looking forward to Buzz building a complete Warrior's team.

Agree. We came out hot in the 2nd half and just ran out of gas.

Didn't get back on D, took awful shots, our shots were short due to exhaustion.

Just sucks. Wish we could have been deeper with this group of seniors. Hopefully Buzz can produce that in the future

Yes because we have been attrocious against elite teams the last 3 years.

I, too, look forward to Buzz building a "complete" Warriors team.  At the end of the day, I'll take a team that wins and goes to the NCAA and competes at the highest levels of the Big East.  I don't care how he does it in terms of philosophy, but as long as he does then that's fine.  If he wants to go with bigs sans great guards, fine.  Go with guards sans great bigs, fine.  Combination of both, fine.  All athletes like Memphis.  Fine.   Go the UW-Madison approach, fine.   At the end of the day, as long as we win that's fine with me.

I just wonder what a "complete" team means since there are so many ways to win in college basketball.  So many styles, so many philosophies.  If "complete" means winning team, I'm there with you.  If complete means bigger, stronger but less athletic and less speed at the smaller positions, well I'm not there with you.

Should be interesting.  It's one thing to say we want a complete team, I'm sure TC, KO, MD wanted them too.  It's another to land those kids, keep them here and have the play well together.

Chicos, you're a moron.

Obviously complete means NOT ALL POINT GUARDS.  You must be a lawyer.

Is that really necessary, ye unregistered MUScooper?

Chicos has a point, but it doesn't apply. The team we have NOW is not complete:

1. If we were going the guards route, we still do not have ANY legitimate height. Even with guards you go with athletic big men, we do not have that. We have a 6'7 PF/SF playing the C. If we went the guard route we would have a 6'9-6'10 skinnier/quicker C

2. We do not have depth at all. A complete team can go 8 deep and not suffer on either sides of the ball. This team's bench is pathetic sans Butler.

This team needs to find its nitch, and hopefully develop a new personality. It's frustrating watching the Tom Crean personality fail at so many levels. However, with the seniors we have, the turn around should be fairly quick. I'm excited for Buzz Ball

Besides, what exactly is so wrong with being a lawyer?

By my count, we have only one quality point guard, and he is wearing a cast on is foot.  I think you meant all SG/SF, because besides James all of are useful players are shooting guard/small forward types.

I didn't realize we had all point guards.  In fact, by my count we have two, one of which is in a cast.  Try again.  By the way, feel free to join MU Scoop, it's free......"don't cost nothing"

I couldn't agree more.  We need another true point guard at this juncture.
