However I just had a thought come into my head after the Nova game... that Scottie Reynolds was at first committed to Oklahoma...

Could you imagine a Sooner team of Warren, Reynolds and the Griffin Brothers... a team wouldn't get within 10 points of them...

its like the idea of what if Wade stays for his senior year type of thought.

No way. Oklahoma is good and would be even better with Reynolds obviously, however, they wouldn't be as good as you're trying to say. In fact, I would say that the Kansas team from last year would beat them pretty easy. Sasha Kaun, Darrell Arthur, Darnell Jackson, and Cole Aldrich as a collective group are easily better than the Griffin brothers. Brandon Rush, Sherron Collins, Russell Robinson, and Mario Chalmers are simply better than Warren and Reynolds. That Kansas team was so loaded at the guard spots and especially in the frontcourt. Just look at that frontcourt talent I just named off - heck, any one of those 4 guys would average a double double with the three amigos and Lazar. And last time I checked Kansas still lost 3 games last year. Oklahoma isn't as good as people think they are IMO. They will be the first 1 seed to go down. Watch and see.

I will also add that Damion James from Texas originally committed to Oklahoma out of high school and then changed his mind and went to Texas after Samspon bolted. If he and Reynolds were with the Sooners right now then I would say they would stack up to last year's Kansas team pretty well.

Take it even further, include Texas star Damion James in that class.  He was one of Sampson's commits to OU that year, and he was the only one that Capel actually tried to get to stay.

Of course we're going to play the hypothetical game we can take it a step further.  With Reynolds and James, Capel likely doesn't go after Warren at all, leading him to go to with his second choice...Kansas.  That means Kansas no longer is interested in Tyshawn Taylor because he only got that scholarship because Warren didn't want it.  So now he probably ends up at his second choice...MU, which means that either Jimmy Butler or Liam McMorrow doesn't come here because there would be only one scholarship left.

Jimmy Butler's doing more than Trevor Mbakwe would have this year for Marquette.  If we get Taylor there is no Butler.  Taylor would not contribute as much to Marquette as he does at Kansas right now.  No doubt he would help with depth, but he wouldn't be averaging what he does at Kansas.  Marquette with Trevor and Taylor means Marquette with Crean coaching.  Not saying it is bad, but then we probably take away about 7 points a game from Wes Matthews as well.
