Looking at the box score, I see that Cubillan played 11 minutes, but didn't attempt any shots (though he hit his two free throws). Despite his poor performance this year, isn't shooting what he offers the offense? Maybe he was doing well enough on defense to justify that time on the court, but it seems to me that if he's out there for more than a quarter of the game, he needs to put the ball up, at least as a heat check.

why do people still think he can shoot?  and no, he shouldn't be shooting unless he is wide open, which he was not at all yesterday.

Realistically he only had a couple of good looks yesterday, but didn't pull the trigger. Whether it was his choice or Buzz's, I'm not sure. Though I'm willing to bet Buzz told him he'd double his minutes if he promises not to shoot.

Thanks for the info about a lack of open looks. By the way, I do not "still think he can shoot." But I also don't think he can play defense like he used to. So, I'm wondering why he got 11 minutes. And since he was once a shooter, it  surprises me that he didn't take even one in that time. Maybe GuyIncognito is right, he had instructions to not shoot, and his only, only purpose was to give someone a breather.

He took at least 1 shot, the one he was fouled on before he made the 2 free throws.

I thought he had the airball from the top of the key...  Was that not Cubes?

Not really a shot, he got fouled trying to tip in someone else's miss.
